Jim Bernard is a Partner with The James Randall Group, LLC. Jim has over 12 years of search experience within a broad range of industries and functional areas. Jim is committed to consulting with clients and to do what is in their best interest. Prior to forming The James Randall Group, LLC, Jim spent over 5 years as an Executive Recruiter with Washington Mutual, Inc. and was responsible for managing executive level search assignments across a broad spectrum of disciplines. His clients included the Treasurer, EVP Capital Markets, Chief Risk Officer, Retail Bank President among many others.

Jim previously spent 4 years as an Executive Recruiter with Ajilon Finance where he was one of the top producers for Pacific Northwest and was instrumental in building the Seattle offices executive placement division. During his tenure at Ajilon Finance, Jim specialized in accounting and finance search and worked with companies of all sizes, including many Fortune 500 companies. His clients spanned many industries such as asset management, banking, technology, retail, manufacturing and healthcare.

Jim began his career within the mutual fund industry in 1992 with State Street Bank, a global leader in custodial banking. His career expanded with Scudder Stevens and Clark, a pioneer investment management firm first to offer no-load Mutual Fund investment choices. His responsibilities in the industry included accounting, financial analysis and financial reporting, both internal management reporting and external SEC reporting. Jim moved to the Seattle area in 1999 and leveraged his finance and accounting experience to become an executive search professional.

In addition to Jim’s professional experience, he is and active member in the community coaching a variety of youth sports in Seattle. He is also active in fundraising programs within the Queen Anne/Magnolia public schools.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
